I use the following decorations to create all these cakesicles: soft candy that's easy to cut into thin squares, such as liquorish all sorts, large and small candy eyes, contrasting chocolate, sprinkle spiders and Oreos. Its important to use oil based food coloring because the water in the other kind will make the chocolate seize. Oil based green food coloring (optional):is different from regular water based food coloring you usually get from the supermarket. If you are using candy melts you may need to add a little refined coconut oil to get a smooth pourable consistency, depending on what brand of candy melts you are using.
